Jazz in der Dondorf Druckerei x Schirn

On 30.07.26 Jazz will take place in the courtyard of the Dondorf Druckerei in cooperation with the Schirn Kunsthalle. Reverse Avalanche will be performing, describing themselves as a "sonic chain reaction":
An electronic circuit on the verge of collapse. Tension builds up, discharges, the process starts all over again. Unpredictable. Volatile. Such a circuit is known as a "reverse avalanche" - the namesake for the new live electronics experiment by Jan Ove Hennig aka Kabuki, in which the only constant is change. For each performance, he invites a different musical accomplice who is willing to take part in the experiment. At this concert, it is the percussionist Leon Raum.

The Frankfurt sound researcher Jan Ove Hennig embraces the chaos of his modular synthesizer monolith, making unpredictability his creative partner. Loss of control as a compositional principle - a musical tightrope act without a net.
The concert thus becomes an experimental set-up: what happens when musicians surrender to total unpredictability? Reverse Avalanche invites you on an excursion into the unknown.
