SUMMER HANGOUT mit Reverse Avalanche
PICK OF THE DAY
You cannot miss this event.
In the organizer's words:
The SCHIRN invites you to its popular Summer Hangouts, featuring live music in a relaxed, open-air atmosphere in the courtyard. Enjoy cool drinks and a selection of snacks from Café B.
To kick things off, in collaboration with the 2og:dondorf jazz series, enjoy live music by Reverse Avalanche, the new live electronic experiment by Jan Ove Hennig, aka Kabuki.
An electronic circuit on the verge of collapse. Tension builds, then discharges; the process begins anew. Unpredictable. Volatile. Such a circuit is called a “Reverse Avalanche”—the namesake for the project, in which the only constant is change. For each performance, he invites a different musical collaborator who is willing to engage with the experiment. For this concert, it’s drummer Leon Raum. Frankfurt-based sound explorer Jan Ove Hennig embraces the chaos of his modular synthesizer monolith, turning unpredictability into a creative partner. Loss of control as a compositional principle—a musical tightrope walk without a safety net. The concert thus becomes an experiment: What happens when musicians surrender to total unpredictability? Reverse Avalanche invites you on a journey into the unknown.
