Maria Chiara Argirò's Closer is her most personal and focused album to date, inspired by a "dreamlike feeling" of self-discovery. With clarity and intuition, the record combines electronic music, jazz and experimental pop, with tracks such as the synth-pop piece Light and the genre-bending Time.
A central figure in the UK jazz and electronic scene, Argirò builds on her acclaimed 2021 album Forest City to create a genre-spanning, deeply introspective work that focuses on connection and freedom. With Closer , she opens up boundless creative possibilities and boldly breaks new ground.
