In the organizer's words:
Sababa 5, founded in 2016, combines Mediterranean rhythms, rock and psychedelic funk to create a unique East-West sound. The band, inspired by 60s and 70s music, is constantly evolving while remaining groove-centric. After successful collaborations, including with Japanese singer Yurika and Yemeni singer Shiran Ztfira, as well as their self-titled debut album (2022), their second album Aspan was released in 2023. With Europe-wide tours and new releases, Sababa 5 paved the way for another album in summer 2024.
