The Jazzorama Big Band is the artheater's in-house big band. Led by Marc Doffey and Ole Sinell, it offers everything you could wish for from a big band. Juicy brass voicings, loud, quiet, swing, groove, blues and of course sustainability! Because here, musical energy is generated in a completely CO2-neutral way and without electrical amplification through physical effort, in keeping with the ecological idea.

This is already the 12th time that the band has performed at the artheater. What could be more natural than to put the concert under the sign of the blues. As is well known, the blues is based on a pattern of exactly 12 bars. The history of jazz, in which the blues has always been and still is present, shows just how diverse these 12 bars can be. See for yourself this evening!

Miles Davis will also be honored. The jazz giant is not only the composer of the theme piece "All Blues" but would also have been 100 years old today!
