The German jazz singer Charlotte Illinger is a jazz singer in the style of American Songbook music. She is particularly fascinated by lyrical lyrics, which she uses to tell stories as a singer. She has already received many awards and prizes, most recently the German Record Critics' Award for her big band album "Young and Foolish" with the Florian Raepke Big Band. The quartet consists of renowned musicians from the jazz scene: Jerry Lu on piano, WDR Jazz Prize winner Caris Hermes on bads and Jakob Hein on drums. Each of them brings their own influences, which together lead to an interesting interplay of the traditional and the contemporary.
