Due to illness, Charlotte Illinger is unfortunately unable to perform. We are very pleased that Lilli Kornhuber has stepped in at short notice and will perform the evening together with the original band line-up.

With her expressive voice and palpable stage presence, Lilli Kornhuber brings together original compositions, hidden treasures of jazz history and lovingly arranged standards. Her music moves effortlessly between traditional and modern vocal jazz and promises moments with real goose bumps. As an up-and-coming artist on the German scene, she is a member of the Bundesjazzorchester and is currently studying at the Cologne University of Music and Dance.

She will be accompanied on the piano by Jerry Lu, one of the most exciting representatives of straight-ahead jazz in this country. Known for his energetic yet finely nuanced performances, he combines swing, groove and modern influences to create an unmistakable sound. His compositions and arrangements are characterized by melodic clarity, elegance and a subtle depth that often only unfolds on closer listening.

Together with Caris Hermes on bass and Jakob Hein on drums, the result is a quartet that brings classic jazz to the stage with fresh enthusiasm and a fine sense of dynamics - direct, lively and full of expressiveness.
