The Jazzorama Big Band offers everything you could wish for from a big band. Juicy brass voicings, loud, quiet, swing, groove, blues and of course sustainability! Because here, musical energy is generated in a completely CO2-neutral way and without electrical amplification through physical effort, in keeping with the ecological idea.

The program features the music of Belgian arranger Francy Boland. Together with Kenny Clarke, he was the leader of the legendary Clarke/Boland Big Band, which was founded on the initiative of Cologne producer Gigi Campi. In the 1960s, the band was the only European big band that was also successful in the USA. Boland significantly shaped their sound with his unmistakable arrangements. Boland's music is considered a real gem by connoisseurs, but is played too rarely these days.

Be there live when the Jazzorama Big Band brings the typical Boland sound back to life with three tenor saxophones and two drums.
