The songs paint impressive scenes; sheer endless musicality, the vibe and a singer who shuttles with somnambulistic confidence between the big stage and the diary, dancing angularly like a world-weary version of David Byrne from "stop making sense" and shouting statements into the stage sky, or asking the question: Does it make you love your life? Yes, it does, and the great thing is: there is room for everything here, euphoria, melancholy, polyrhythms and synthesizer solos. Music that combines her first childhood memories with jazz, but knows that genres are as fluid as gender.
