Jin Jim

In 2013, flautist Daniel Manrique-Smith from Peru, bassist Ben Tai Trawinski, guitarist Johann May and drummer Nico Stallmann founded "Jin Jim".

In the same year, they were voted into the final of the Bonn JazzTube Festival, and the following year the quartet even won the "Future Sounds" competition at the Leverkusen Jazz Days against almost 200 competitors. In 2015, they released their first album "Die Ankunft". And what an album it was. In 2018, the "accolade" came when their second album "Weiße Schatten" was released by the renowned Munich label ACT, followed by great reviews.

Many live shows around the world and a global pandemic later, a new album finally follows in 2023, with which Jin Jim have once again outdone themselves: New Choices.
