Johanna Summer - Resonanzen - Klavierkonzert @ kultur.farm.festival
In the organizer's words:
When Johanna Summer sits down at the grand piano, it’s not just another concert that begins. A dialogue begins—with Bach, with Beethoven, with history. And with us.
“A passionate jazz pianist who loses herself in her own music,” wrote the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
She “makes you dizzy with joy,” said Die ZEIT.
And the Süddeutsche Zeitung called her a “minor sensation.”
With her solo program RESONANZEN, Johanna Summer continues her extraordinary concept: Classical works are not merely interpreted—they are reimagined. Improvised. Retold.
Starting with Johann Sebastian Bach, she spans a spectrum from Schubert, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Grieg, and Ravel all the way to Ligeti and Scriabin. What emerges is neither jazz nor classical—or perhaps both, just without a label.
With profound technique, a clear mind, and impressive freedom, she plays music that emerges in the moment. Always new. Always different.
A quiet, intense, deeply focused Sunday evening at the kultur.farm.festival.
Music that lingers. And continues to resonate.
