Johannes Mössinger began his collaboration with the NY scene over 20 years ago and has always brought new ideas with him, which are fed by the interaction of European and American influences and energies. With his virtuoso piano playing, he is causing a sensation just as much as a composer of expressive, delicate music.

This resulted in the CD "Call It Even" in duo with Joel Frahm, the LP production ABOUT BACH (HGBSblue 2024) and the album "Painting In Blue" (UNIT) with his international quartet. On this live recording, the quartet plays itself into a real frenzy and enriches today's jazz with its own vision. Mössinger's talent and complexity on the piano are impressively showcased in this context. Freedom of the moment and a feeling for the form and architecture of the music are the starting points for the four musicians, whose playing develops like a firework display of different energy flows, sometimes wildly eruptive, sometimes flowing in polyphony, full of complex rhythms and interesting intervals.
