A special acoustic duo concert awaits you on 04.10.2024 at the "Laden auf Zeit" in the east of Leipzig. Johannes Scheurich, known as the deepest voice in Leipzig and a celebrated indie pop songwriter, will join Georg Domke to present selected songs that are normally played solo or with a band. In this intimate acoustic formation, you will experience the music in a completely new guise - a real highlight that is not often heard. Dresden musician Max Reuschel provides the perfect introduction to the evening with his mix of soft rock, blues and country.

Johannes Scheurich - the deepest voice in Leipzig, the Bela B. of indie pop and not for nothing the Leipzig Songslam champion. The Mecklenburg native is just as comfortable with big emotions as he is with blunt social criticism; laughter and melancholy go hand in hand at his shows. In 2020, the singer-songwriter released his remarkable debut EP "Jetzt und hier" (Now and Here) completely independently, which he has been performing successfully on stages across the country ever since. Just over a year later, the first longplayer "Mehr davon" was released - the record release concert at the Moritzbastei was sold out. After more than 30,000 Spotify streams, 15,000 views on YouTube and coverage in the local press, Scheurich has been on stage with the band since June 2022.

His voice is sometimes warm and sensitive, sometimes loud and powerful with his head through the wall, but always authentic. His songs are characterized by these contrasts with themes of highs and lows, light and shadow, questions and answers about life and relationships. With the courage to constantly reinvent himself, Max's songs reveal new facets of his musical subconscious each time. The constant is his passion for guitar sounds from blues, country and rock'n'roll. You could say he sounds a bit like John Mayer and Tom Petty in German and yet somehow unique.

So far he has released five singles and his debut EP. He is constantly collaborating with a wide variety of artists with the aim of discovering new musical spheres and growing. In 2023, he emerged as the winner of the Songslam in Leipzig and played over 70 concerts throughout Germany. He has also showcased his talent internationally, performing on the streets of Rishikesh (India), in Los Angeles and at the Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas (USA). He performs solo, in a trio or as a full line-up with the addition of Max Reuschel & Band. Max is actively committed to mental health, open-mindedness and animal welfare.
