US singer/songwriter John Craigie is returning to Germany for two more concerts in January 2024! He has his current album "Mermaid Salt" with him. Tickets for the shows in Hamburg (January 15, Hebebühne) and Berlin (January 16, Prachtwerk) will be available from September 22, 2023.

The grandson of a US general has been touring regularly for over a decade, with the current tour promoting his eighth studio album "Mermaid Salt", which is very different from his previous works. For someone like John Craigie, who is used to constantly communicating with people on his travels and tours, creating an album during an international lockdown was certainly a completely new experience. But instead of locking himself in a log cabin, he rented a theater in Enterprise, Oregon, where he recorded a work with a variety of musicians that combined just as many styles. "There were so many artists and instruments involved that afterwards it was impossible to tell who had played which one," he says. He also used the tranquillity of the location to concentrate on the essentials without the chaos and noise of a tour and to look inwards. For the US Rolling Stone, he has thus created "the perfect blend of 60s/70s singer/songwriter attitude and Jack Johnson coolness".
