Johnny Reggae Rub Foundation
In the organizer's words:
The Cologne-based band Johnny Reggae Rub Foundation combines influences from early reggae, ska and punk with socially critical lyrics. Their songwriting reflects their love of Jamaican ska and early reggae, and since their albums "No Bam Bam" and "Trouble" they have become a well-known act in the ska scene. They call their new concept "Electrified Reggae 'n Roll". The duo continues to rely on fine crooner vocals, vintage organ sound and strong hooks, but mixes these with electronic beats and samples instead of acoustic drums as before.
