The Joscho Stephan Trio is one of the most exciting formations on the acoustic guitar scene. Characterized by the masterful guitar skills of band leader Joscho Stephan, the collaboration with Sven Jungbeck (guitar) and Volker Kamp (double bass) creates a modern evolution of classic swing à la Django Reinhardt.
The trio not only impresses with new interpretations of classics of the genre, but also with their own compositions that integrate elements of Latin, classical, pop and rock. This creative mixture inspires a wide audience and shows the trio as musical visionaries.
The production "Paris - Berlin" was recorded as a direct-to-disc record at the legendary Hansa Studios in Berlin. In addition to this album, the trio has released several live albums documenting the energy of their concert performances together. Joscho's successful YouTube channel with almost 40 million views finds its musical summary in the best-of album "Playlist", which contains exclusively recordings from this channel.
The trio has played sold-out concerts in Germany and performed at renowned festivals such as the Leverkusener Jazztage and the Rheingau Music Festival. Internationally, the trio performs regularly in Italy, Poland and Spain and is planning an extensive tour that will include both the USA and Australia.

Joscho Stephan
has worked with artists such as Bireli Lagrène, Stochelo Rosenberg, Tommy Emmanuel, John Petrucci, Daniel Hope, Peter Kraus and the guitarists Richard Smith and Rory Hoffman in the Transatlantic Guitar Trio. He was the only European guitarist to take part in the renowned "George Benson Camp", where Al Di Meola, Steve Lukather and Tommy Emmanuel were also represented. Joscho Stephan also performed together with Frank Vignola and John Jorgenson at the legendary Birdland Jazz Club in New York, where they played a total of eight gigs - another highlight in his international career.

Sven Jungbeck
Born in Dormagen in 1983, Sven Jungbeck grew up in a musical family. Both his grandmother and his mother played various instruments and at the age of 13, the guitar took center stage for him. After leaving school, he studied jazz guitar at the Arnhem University of Music and performed with numerous band projects and as a soloist. Although he majored in electric guitar, today he is mainly at home on various acoustic guitars and the mandolin. His greatest influence in jazz is certainly guitar virtuoso Django Reinhardt. After completing his studies, he became intensively involved with the fingerstyle guitar music of American guitarist Chet Atkins as well as bluegrass, folk and country blues in general. He has already performed his arrangements and compositions throughout Europe with his bands D'Artagnan and JJ and the Acoustic Machine. Sven Jungbeck has worked as a teacher for many years, including at the Spicks music school in Nievenheim and at the Music Box Oxana in Meerbusch Büderich.

Volker Kamp
Live, he can draw on a wealth of experience as a sideman. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to accompany artists in a wide variety of genres. From jazz, rock and hip hop festivals, everything was included. Currently, Volker Kamp is mainly active as a double bass player in Joscho Stephan's trio and quartet.Theater music is one of his great passions. Since the 2000/2001 season, when he started as an assistant to the then musical director at Theater Oberhausen, he has never let go of it. The interaction of different art forms simply has a very special appeal for him. Volker Kamp has performed in a wide variety of productions at theaters in Oberhausen, Bochum, Bonn, Moers, Stuttgart, Meiningen and Schwäbisch Hall. As a studio musician, Volker Kamp is an electric and double bass player, brass player and string instrumentalist and plays other instruments, some of which are rarely found.In recent years, he has become increasingly active as a producer, primarily for stage and film music.
