Journaling-Workshop: Autobiografisches Schreiben in Anlehnung an Werke von Anne Truitt

In the organizer's words:

"I realized that the world was not fixed and that its meaning changed with its appearance." (Anne Truitt)

Inspired by works by minimal art artist Anne Truitt, we immerse ourselves in our own history and search for an expression of what moves us. The current exhibition at the Kunstsammlung NRW will become a place for us to look and write. Because we are following Anne Truitt's invitation and encouragement to search for our very own in art by writing. How does a work of art speak to me? What does it have to say to me? And what does it say about me? We take a close look and engage with pictures, colors, sculptures and structures. We show our colors, search for the visible and the hidden, write profoundly, symbolically and multilayered.

Methods of creative writing and journaling and a stimulating atmosphere help us to do this. Individual writing time alternates with opportunities to share what wants to be shared in the writing group. No previous knowledge of writing or art history is necessary.

The workshop will be held in German. There will be a break at lunchtime with the opportunity to eat in the nearby old town. All the necessary materials will be provided. You are very welcome!

Speaker: Hanna Buiting, born in 1992, author and writing therapist
