:juba - jugend barock musik festival | Sparkling Caprice

The fourth edition of the youth festival will take place with young people from the Gymnasium Köln Pesch. Together with the Furore Ensemble and Merzouga, the students will develop short concerts, creative workshops and a colorful supporting program for young people and families - this year under the promising motto: Sparkling Caprice!

The :juba - jugend barock musik festival is the only festival for early music organized by young people in Germany. Supported by the zamus team, professional ensembles selected by the young people themselves and cultural actors from a wide range of fields, students develop a festival entirely by themselves. They create their own approaches to early music, particularly through their work as artistic directors of the festival, but also in project management and public relations. :juba strengthens self-confidence: The young people can actively use their strengths, they are given real decision-making power and after several months they see the impressive results of their work - they become cultural creators.
