Jugalbandi - Das Duett der Gleichgestellten

After the lecture in the bar, for which a separate ticket is required, the evening continues with a concert in the hall.

In the second part of the evening, sitarist Indrajit Roy-Chowdhury and sarodist Swarnendu Mandal come together for a "jugalbandi", accompanied by Sanjib Pal on the tabla - a unique form of musical dialog in which two improvising soloists enter into an equal, playful interplay. This captivating "duet of equals" unfolds like a classic Indian jam session, in which the delicate beauty of the ragas is brought to life with spontaneity and imagination.
