This is truly a comedy: a writer and director from Osaka who speaks no German and an actor from Odessa who speaks no Japanese. Together they try to get to the bottom of a serious diplomatic entanglement from the history of German-Japanese relations. They juggle with their languages, translations and surtitles. They lose themselves in misunderstandings and sink into the maelstrom of cultural differences, ultimately having only each other and their bodies, the shrug of their shoulders and the shared laughter.
