Jung und radikal — Eine Filmreihe der Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung inkl. Podiumsgespräch

PICK OF THE DAY

You cannot miss this event.

In the organizer's words:

The Federal Agency for Civic Education (bpb) cordially invites you to the four screenings of the film series “Young and Radical” at the Harmonie, Grünwälderstraße 16–18.

Why do young people join radical ideologies or groups? What role do personal, social, and political factors play in this process? And what does this mean for the individuals involved, their families, and society as a whole?

The film series addresses these questions and invites viewers to examine the processes of radicalization among young people from various perspectives.

Following the screenings, moderated panel discussions will take place with filmmakers and subject-matter experts, who will contextualize and explain the films’ content. The audience will have the opportunity to participate and ask their own questions.

For the fourth and final screening of the series on June 30, following the eco-thriller “How to Blow Up a Pipeline,” we welcome protest researcher Lena Herbers to the panel discussion. Together with moderator Sarah Moll , she will provide insights into the film’s exploration of radical climate activism and contextualize what we’ve seen—particularly the blurred lines between civil disobedience and targeted sabotage—from both sociological and legal perspectives.
