A special kind of piano concerto

Kai Liekenbröcker describes his music as "fully composed improvisations", which can never be clearly categorized stylistically - somewhere between neoclassical and jazz, and the press described the pieces on his album "Klavier" as "...ten piano art crowns in which a certain romanticism is revealed."

Live, Liekenbröcker uses additional electronics to loop, rhythmically and sonically expand or alienate the pieces - he calls this live realization "mixed back"; pure piano pieces alternate with soundscapes and take the listener on a varied musical journey through the "Raunächte", his current album.
