"What does it do to you when I tell you: There will be no nuclear war. Does that give you a good, warm feeling? Or does it leave you cold?" (Kassandra) - Kassandra is the woman who sees. Her analytical view of the present shapes her understanding of the future. She sees dangers long before they materialize - but people refuse to believe her - until reality catches up with her predictions. Christian Freund's play translates the Cassandra myth into the 21st century and is a rejection of proclamations and a plea for fearless action that playfully examines the challenges of our time and at the same time finds poetic, nuanced and comical questions about the answers we like to give ourselves.
