Clean drinking water is essential on every hike and trek. But what kinds of contaminants can be found in water, and how can you reliably protect yourself from them? In the Katadyn workshop, you’ll learn why water treatment is important while on the go and which methods have proven effective in practice.
In addition to the basics of biological, chemical, and mechanical water contaminants, we’ll introduce various water treatment options. Learn about the design, how they work, and the applications of Katadyn water filters, and find out more about chemical treatment methods and water disinfection using UV light. In the hands-on session that follows, you’ll have the chance to try out different water filters for yourself and experience how they work firsthand.
An exciting workshop for all outdoor enthusiasts who want to stay safe and self-sufficient on their trips.
Participation is free; we ask that you register so we can estimate the number of participants.
