Wallis hautnah – Ein Alpental zu Gast in Stuttgart
Noch niemand hat sich das Event gemerkt.
In the organizer's words:
Woodcarving, raclette, wine, and a 360° VR mountain panorama—experience the Valais for a day at the
location. A day spent among glaciers and culinary delights: The Valais comes to Stuttgart—with games, culinary delights, and the stories of the people who call it home.
45 four-thousand-meter peaks, over 8,000 kilometers of hiking trails, and around 300 days of sunshine a year: Valais is one of the great outdoor destinations in the Alps. At Globetrotter Stuttgart, you can bring a taste of this Alpine valley into the store for a day. At the Victorinox carving workshop, you (or your children) can try your hand at carving, while raclette and wine tastings add a touch of indulgence—featuring Valais cuisine and grape varieties like Petite Arvine.
If you’re wondering where your next trip should take you, get inspired by the tour consultation or immerse yourself in the mountain world through a 360° VR experience.
The event wraps up (5:00 p.m.) with a live podcast featuring three guides from Valais discussing the region’s best activities: Corina Sommer (trail running), Florent Moos, hiking guide and founder of Ukalo Rando from Leukerbad, and Jan Tscherry, aka “Bock uf Bikeguide, ” a Swiss Cycling Guide from Gampel. Together, they’ll reveal which tours you can easily tackle on your own—from marked high-altitude trails to the flat Suonen paths—and where a local guide is truly worth it. And they make it clear where having a guide isn’t optional but mandatory: on the Aletsch Glacier, for example—the largest ice stream in the Alps—or on the Matterhorn, where a trained mountain guide is absolutely essential.
