In this current program of Café am Nil, Katharina Joumana, her ensemble Oriental Roses, the Azadeh dancers from her dance school and her master students celebrate the power of femininity and embody it in oriental dance.
And as always, there will be international guests at the Café am Nil. For the first time, the Brazilian dancer Igor Kischka, who seems to have internalized the dance, at the sight of his harmonious and supple movements. Also a first time guest is
American dancer Athena Najat. She has been dancing in Istanbul for ten years. Athena's dance is very much influenced by the American and Turkish dance style and reflects a completely different dance direction in oriental dance. The distinctive dance movements go hand in hand with the tabla. The rhythm of the tabla always forms a unity with the dancer and is indispensable in oriental dance. The instrument is played by the internationally known tabla player Khader Ahmed from Berlin.
Sit back and enjoy a firework of dance, rhythm, colors and joy of life.
