At the age of 24, Ken Carson has already released three EPs and three albums and has long since made the leap from his hometown of Atlanta to the international hip-hop and trap scene as a successful rapper. His single "Yale" has more than 200 million Spotify streams, while his songs "Rock N Roll" and "Run + Ran" from his debut album "Project X" went viral on TikTok, making him known worldwide with his rage rap-infused trap sound. His latest album " A Great Chaos"just missed the top 10 of the Billboard 200 at number 11. Contrary to all critics, Ken Carson is at the peak of his career so far with almost 6 million monthly listeners - almost because any form of criticism of his first two albums spurred him on endlessly. While he will be supporting Red Hot Chili Peppers in the early summer of 2024, Ken Carson will be coming to Germany for four headline concerts in the fall, setting the next exclamation mark on his young career with the size of the concert halls.

Ken Carson met TM88 when he was just 15, through whom he joined 808 Mafia and released his first music via SoundCloud in 2017. Through Playboi Carti, who signed him to his label Opium in 2019 after initial successes in the Atlanta underground and the release of his debut EP "Boy Barbie" (2018), Carson quickly became better known and released his EP "Teen X" in 2020, which provided the rapper's breakthrough with the track "Yale" . Following the release of his "Teen X: Relapsed" EP, KenCarson released his debut album " Project X" in 2021, which was initially critically reviewed by the press, but was a huge success thanks to the TikTok success of "Rock N Roll" and "Run + Ran". With his second album " X", Ken Carson made it into the Billboard 200 for the first time in 2022 (number 115). Features with Destroy Lonely and Homixide Gang make tracks such as "MDMA", "Murder Music" and "Deliquent" stand out, but his music continues to be critically reviewed. Undeterred by negative reviews of his first albums, his latest album "A Great Chaos" was released in 2023, which was largely well received by the press and marked the rapper's most successful release to date, reaching number 11 in the Billboard 200. "Fighting My Demons" shows Ken Carson embedded in a trap aesthetic, while tracks such as "Jennifer's Body" and "Paranoid" bring a pop component to the album's sound with catchy basslines and repetitive structures, which are contrasted by rage-heavy tracks such as "Hardcore" and "Succubus" and point to the album's diversity. Consequently, it's no surprise that "Pitchfork" calls the album a "creative breakthrough".

Shortly before his Coachella debut in April 2024, his latest single "overseas" was released, redefining his trap sound with a poppy approach between deep bass synths and shimmering atmosphere. Lyrically, the single becomes a mantra for the coming year, which Ken Carson will celebrate with an extensive European tour: "London, Paris, Amsterdam, yeah, I'm overseas."
