Now that’s a Christmas surprise! Ken Norris & Ulf Meyer had barely released their new CD “Conversations” when it was immediately named CD of the Month by NDR Kultur. Several tracks are drawn from the American Songbook, exquisitely arranged byUlf(g) and vocally presented byKen. Or as Ken aptly puts it:“informal conversations based around our favorite songs.”

The album pays homage to the Beatles as well as to James Taylor and the Brazilian jazz greats Djavan and Chico Buarque. What is usually the domain of the duo will be presented this evening in a previously unheard special edition performed as a quartet, featuringLars Hansenon bass andHeinz Lichiuson drums.
