Klanghölzer aus dem Auwald: Workshop für Kinder von 5-10

As part of our2026 Family Summer Festival, we’d like to inviteyou to a very specialworkshop for kids:

Clack-Clack Sticks 🪵 from the Floodplain Forest

In four steps, the children will buildsimple musical instruments fromfallen branchesfound in the forest:

• Under guidance, the children will saw the branches to size themselves, depending on their age
• Then they’ll remove the bark using a child-safe carving knife—or carve a pattern into the wood.
• Next, the wood is smoothed with sandpaper
• … and finally coated with organic linseed oil.
• Once they’re dry, we try out the rhythm sticks! 🎶

In the process, the children discover that the sticks sound different after each step and can let their creativity run wild.
