Experience pure classical music on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 17:00 in the Dresden Kreuzkirche. Under the title "Cantate Domino - Singet dem Herrn ein neues Lied", the vespers invites you to an hour of heavenly music that will calm your spirit. The focus is on masterful motets and sacred concertos by Heinrich Schütz and Dieterich Buxtehude, performed by the renowned Capella Sanctae Crucis Dresden.

Sopranos Heidi Maria Taubert and Dorothea Wagner and bass Johannes G. Schmidt, together with a baroque ensemble, will unfold the full splendor of this epoch. From Buxtehude's festive organ music to Schütz's intimate sacred concertos, the program offers a fascinating journey through the precursors of classical music. Cross organist Holger Gehring leads the ensemble from the organ and combines virtuoso instrumental passages with radiant vocal singing. A musical experience that makes perfect use of the historic acoustics of the Kreuzkirche.
