The Klassik Open Air invites you

Three days, five concerts, one square in the middle of the city: Klassik Open Air takes place on Kiliansplatz from July 2 to 4. Renowned orchestras, award-winning ensembles and young talents will transform Heilbronn's city center into an open-air stage for three days. Admission is - as always - free.

It starts on Thursday, July 2 at 6:30 pm with the symphonic orchestra Klangattacke. Founded in 2015, the orchestra consists of around 65 musicians from Heilbronn and the surrounding area. The program includes well-known pieces by international composers from the 20th century. The focus is on the American continent - in keeping with the current World Cup.

On Friday, July 3, Quadro Nuevo will welcome you from 2:30 pm with their program Happy DELUXE. Childhood friends Mulo Francel and Didi Lowka founded the award-winning ensemble Quadro Nuevo in 1996. The quartet is completed by accordionist Andreas Hinterseher and New York musician Tim Collins on vibraphone.

At 6:30 pm, the Heilbronn Symphony Orchestra will once again be hosting young female soloists. Two national prizewinners of the "Jugend musiziert" competition will demonstrate their skills, accompanied by the HSO under the direction of Alois Seidlmeier. Percussionist Anne Wölfert will be the soloist in Emmanuel Séjourné's lively "Concerto for Marimba and Strings". The program concludes with the three songs "Someone Like You", "Valerie" and "Stand Up" - instead of Amy Winehouse & Co. you will hear Gretchen Sutton, winner of the German national prize in the pop vocal category. On Saturday, July 4, the orchestras of the municipal music school can be heard from 2:30 pm. This year, the symphonic youth wind orchestra will be playing pieces from the field of light music with very different origins. The youth symphony orchestra presents romantic music with Schubert's Magic Harp alongside works by Ralph V. Williams and Hans Zimmer.

From 6:30 pm, the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn, together with its artistic partner Frank Dupree, his trio and saxophonist Libor Šima, will unfold the whole variety of summery, light music - from Spanish passion and French impressionism to jazz and film. Manuel de Falla lights up Spanish temperament with fiery energy. Maurice Ravel's "Petite Symphonie à cordes" combines elegance with impressionistic colors. Jean Françaix is cheerful and full of dialog, while Darius Milhaud fuses jazz and folklore. With "Lujon", Henry Mancini builds a bridge to the big screen. A very special summer evening with music that is simply a joy.
