Klassik | Orgelsommer mit Stiftsorganist Jens Wollenschläger
In the organizer's words:
Experience the sublime perfection of classical music at the Dresden Organ Summer at the Kreuzkirche. On Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., a 45-minute concert filled with virtuoso organ music awaits you. Free admission is available, and seating is first-come, first-served.
The program is titled “Our Father in Heaven.” Cathedral organist Prof. Jens Wollenschläger will perform fascinating variations on the Luther hymn. Alongside works by Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Böhm, and early Spanish masters, the program centers on the immortal classic by Johann Sebastian Bach: the canonical masterpiece BWV 682.
Jens Wollenschläger is a professor in Tübingen, an international concert organist, and has recorded over 100 CDs. The trade journal “organ” named him Artist of the Year. His concert tours have taken him to the great cathedrals of Europe.
Take advantage of this afternoon for a musical respite. Experience how vividly this timeless classical music can be interpreted by the “queen of instruments.”
