Kölner Rosenmontagszug

In the 2024 carnival season, the Cologne Rose Monday parade will run through Cologne on 12.02.2024. Hundreds of thousands of revellers and curious onlookers will shout "Strüßjer!" and "Kamelle!" along the 8.7-kilometre-long procession.

The Cologne Rose Monday procession sets off at 10 a.m. on the dot. Around 12,000 participants march for over 5 hours as a foolish lindworm from Chlodwigplatz in Südstadt to Mohrenstraße, handing out 300 tons of sweets, 300,000 bouquets of flowers and many other gifts along the way.

Due to roadworks, the Rose Monday procession cannot travel through Gürzenichstraße as usual. Instead, the route leads from Quatermarkt via Augustinerstraße to Heumarkt.

This year's motto: "Wat e Theater - wat e Jeckespill"
