Political and religious persecution as well as economic reasons have prompted and continue to prompt women to migrate and move to Cologne. What did it mean to be a migrant at different times and in different contexts? With the name Köln'ün Bülbülü (Nightingale of Cologne), the Turkish singer Yüksel Özkasap had an amazing career in the 1970s. She was the star of the migrant workers. Motives for marriage migration are also discussed.
