Ellmaurer are a Heidelberg post-rock band.
The quintet plays in a classic rock line-up with synthesizers and polyphonic vocals. An Ellmaurer concert is a densely woven piece of music, almost all songs flow into one another and are thus part of a single arc of tension. Characteristic are the German-language lyrics, which use abstract images to eloquently explore the abysses of the human psyche - their own and others'.
