Music and Dance Performance (Jazz / World / Indie)
The Brazilian Candomblé cult combines a fascinating archetypal pantheon with percussion rhythms, dance, and choral singing. KORO places the songs of this Afro-Brazilian religion in a new harmonic and sonic context. Samples of call-and-response chants form the core of contemporary compositions that allow the audience to experience the spirituality of Candomblé through a musical and dance performance enhanced by visuals. Free admission
