Kräuterwanderung - entdecke das wilde Leipzig im Spätsommer

Come with me into the wild nature out there. It starts right at your front door! On my herb walks through the enchanted Kleinzschocher Public Park, I’ll introduce you to the world of wild herbs.  You’ll learn how to reliably identify the most common seasonal herbs, trees, and shrubs, and how to use them for various purposes in the kitchen, your home medicine cabinet, or for natural cosmetics. You don’t have to be an herb expert or live in the countryside to do this. Even in the big city, you can benefit from the health-promoting effects of wild herbs!

We’ll meet once a month on Friday afternoons and occasionally on weekends to relax amid wild plants and birdsong and immerse ourselves in their world. On each hike, we’ll get to know different plants. Depending on the season and theme, you’ll join me in collecting herbs, flowers, seeds, fruits, or roots. 

What’s a typical herbal hike with me like?

• Getting to know and collecting about 10 seasonal wild herbs using all your senses
• Important poisonous plants of the season
• Rules for collecting, plus tips and tricks for drying, storing, and processing
• Identifying characteristics, active ingredients, and uses
• Tasting a homemade wild herb snack (organic & vegan)
• Sharing experiences with other nature enthusiasts

Don’t forget weather-appropriate clothing, sunscreen, and tick repellent. The event will take place even in light rain.
