Kultursommer Starnberg 2026 - Justyn Tyme

In the organizer's words:

Original compositions blending modern jazz, funk, Latin, and world music: The jazz ensemble JUSTYN TYME takes its audience on a musical journey into the world of cutting-edge sounds.

Drums and electric bass weave a dynamic tapestry, while the trombone and saxophone—as the frontline—lay jazzy or lyrical melodies over it, and the funky keyboard brings it all together into an unmistakable groove. In between, the musicians showcase their joy of playing by experimenting with exotic instruments such as the berimbau, dream pipe, and kalimba, or improvising with the blues harp and jaw harp. The band has been known for this unique sound for many years. They are currently working on their tenth album.

Thomas Maier – tenor and soprano sax, berimbau, kalimba
Max Dresse – trombone
Markus Rösch – keyboard, piano
Thomas Gätjens – electric bass, double bass
Andi Hauer – Drums, Percussion, Blues Harp, Dream Pipe

Special Guest: Peter Möltgen – trombone, exotic instruments

In case of bad weather, the event will take place at the Schlossberghalle.

Free admission.
