Under trees: art exhibition at Villa Menzer

The four artists of GEDOK Heidelberg - Esther Bach, Ingrid Eckert, Petra Lindenmeyer and Susanne Ochs - express their thoughts and feelings on the subject of "trees" using very different creative means: Esther Bach lends new dignity and meaning to old trees from orchards in her overpainted photographs. The canvas works with the greatly enlarged blossoms of the copper beech also bear witness to her love of local nature. Ingrid Eckert recalls the gardens of her childhood and the forests she wandered through on her vacations in her printed, painted and overstitched textile pictures. Petra Lindenmeyer looks up into the sky, like the old giant trees in the park. Poems and song lyrics flow into the composition. She wants to make networks of relationships and the finest vibrations visible. Finally, Susanne Ochs reinterprets depictions of forests and trees in the works of old and new masters on the smallest scale and stages tiny trees in unexpected settings.

The artists will be present during the opening hours of the exhibition.
