ART FESTIVAL IN TENEVER

August 15, 20, and 28, 2026, at RESIDANCE // QUARTIER in Tenever

The Tenever Art Festival is back for its third edition! This time, we’re inviting you to three days of an all-style dance battle, circus performances, and dance on the market square in Tenever—as always, free and open to everyone!

Kick-Off: All-Style Battle “GROOVES” // Sat, Aug. 15, 2026 // starting at 1 p.m.

An all-style dance battle—a highlight in the past two years as well—will kick off the festival. Breakdancer Barry Donkor is once again supporting the team with the organization. This time, there will be two rounds. Registration for the 2vs2 Juniors (ages 16 and under) begins at 1 p.m. First place will receive prizes. The 2vs2 Allstyle (all ages) category begins registration at 3 p.m. First place will receive 400 EUR. This time, the host is Mona, and the judges are Yello Cat (BBT Crew), Ann-So (OCG Crew), and Bahar (DMC Crew). Tiim-Oh (Escaflow Crew) and Der Lazynist will be spinning as DJs.

At the same time, there will be a colorful program of activities on the market square, featuring workshops, food, and drinks. Once again, there will be an opportunity to customize T-shirts or other clothing items using screen printing. Children can also get creative in an open-air street studio. Everyone is welcome! 

Circus Show // Trio Mio // Thu, Aug. 20, 2026 // 4:00 p.m.

Trio Mio consists of Martin Bogus, Paul Wallner, and Merle Freund. They combine their artistic skills with short stories and, with their mobile circus theater, take their audience on a journey into a world (almost) without gravity... A lively performance featuring juggling, diabolo, and acrobatics.

Dance // Pretty Playful Productions // Fri, Aug. 28, 2026 // 4:00 p.m.

Pretty Playful Productions is a Bremen-based collective led by Johanna Schlösser and Miriam Röder. With a focus on dance theater for young audiences, the team develops interdisciplinary, exploratory, and open formats that create new spaces for perception and encounter—including here for us at the market square in Tenever! Here they will present their new piece “Wirbelwind,” featuring Felix Reisel as a musician and performer on stage.
