Kurzfilmtag: »In jedem Ende, ein Anfang.«

In the organizer's words:

On December 21 - the shortest day of the year - short film will be celebrated throughout Germany in all its diversity, creativity and joy of experimentation. Initiated by the AG Kurzfilm, short films will conquer cinema screens and television programs, galleries and clubs, house facades and living rooms, public spaces and means of transport on this day.

The ifs International Film School Cologne and the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM), in cooperation with the KFFK/Kurzfilmfestival Köln, are once again taking part in the nationwide Short Film Day with a selection of current short films. The program brings together stories in which personal memories, family ties and social structures become visible. The films show our interconnectedness through space and time, via bodies, stories, trauma or family relationships. With very different formal and narrative approaches, they open up spaces for vulnerability, resistance and new beginnings.
