KUSUR
An exhibition by Ezgi Nur Akinci and Zeynep Alpay
Ezgi Nur Akıncı and Zeynep Alpay's duo exhibition Kusur (which means Flaw in English) explores the thorns we grow for protection, asking viewers: Are we truly seeking peace, or are we afraid of what comes with it? Bringing together abstraction and figurative elements through paintings and tufted wool artworks, the exhibition sparks a dialog on self-love, vulnerability, and the struggle to accept flaws-both in ourselves and in others.
The joint exhibition Kusur by Ezgi Nur Akıncı and Zeynep Alpay (Kusur means blemish in German) explores the thorns we grow for protection and asks viewers the question: are we really looking for peace, or are we just afraid of what it brings? By combining abstract and figurative elements in the paintings and tufted wool works, the exhibition opens up a dialog about self-love, vulnerability and the struggle to accept flaws - both in ourselves and in others.
