Lach mal!

In the organizer's words:

Admission price and time to be announced!

On August 14, “Lach mal!” takes children and adults on an extraordinary journey where laughter itself plays the leading role and shows just how contagious joy can be.

Laughter can’t be contained. It sweeps through the world, appearing unexpectedly, transforming spaces and people—sometimes loud and boisterous, sometimes quiet and almost unnoticed. Wherever it appears, things fall out of sync: time seems to pass more slowly, worries lose their weight, and even the everyday takes on a touch of adventure.

In “Laugh!” Susanne Mautz and Mathias Wendel follow this fleeting phenomenon and tell a story about the contagious power of joy. When Laughter peeks through the windows of a magnificent palace, it discovers a celebration full of splendor that is nonetheless marked by solemnity. Without further ado, Laughter mingles with the guests and injects some life into the stagnant gathering. But the grumpy wizard next door sees this unbridled cheerfulness as a threat and tries to lock Laughter away. A plan that proves far more difficult than he could have imagined.

With subtle humor and great imagination, Mathias Wendel and Susanne Mautz combine elements of narrative theater with visual art to create an atmospheric production that appeals to children and adults alike. The audience is not only invited to watch but also actively shapes the course of the play with their own ideas. The result is a theatrical experience that shows how a small encounter can lead to shared wonder, participation—and, of course, laughter. “Lach mal!” can be experienced on August 14.
