Two extraordinary artists - Lale Koçgün and Gülseven Medar - unite the soundscapes of the Anatolian-Mesopotamian region in their multilingual music project. With their accompanying quartet, consisting of Armenian duduk, percussion, bass and instruments from the bağlama family as well as the lavta, they create a fascinating interplay of tradition and modernity.

The music invites you on a journey through the languages, myths and stories of Mesopotamia and Asia Minor - poetic, powerful and emotional. Old melodies meet new timbres and merge into a lively dialog between memory and the present.

In her work,Lale Koçgün combines Anatolian sound traditions with contemporary influences. After training in music theory and guitar, she dedicated herself to the tembur and developed an expressive, spiritual style from it.

Gülseven Medar combines classical vocal training with deep roots in Anatolian music. With her powerful voice and emotional presence, she reinterprets folk songs and poetry and lets them shine in a modern light.

Together, Lale Koçgün and Gülseven Medar create a multi-layered, sensual work of sound art that interweaves times, languages and emotions - a musical mosaic full of depth, color and resonance.
