In the organizer's words:
"Unstoppably entertaining!"
Yes, you have to read the title twice. But if you’ve made it this far in the age of TikTok and the like, with attention spans of four seconds at most—congratulations! That automatically qualifies you for Lars Redlich’s new music-comedy show, where once again: top-notch musical entertainment meets lighthearted, witty humor.
Normally, this is where a gushing tribute to the artist and his show would follow—almost always written by the artist himself. To avoid this—to me, unpleasant—hustler-style self-praise, I’ll just be honest: Come on by, it’ll be a great evening, and I’m looking forward to seeing you all! Yours, Lars.
For those who still prefer the usual marketing spiel, here’s the classic (boring) text:
18 comedy and cabaret awards speak for themselves, and in his latest show, Lars Redlich whirls across the stage, skillfully blending parody and irony, wordplay and poetry, while playing music, acting, and improvising nonstop—all at the highest level: With sophisticated wit instead of loudness and intelligent punchlines instead of verbal incontinence.
Learn things you never wanted to know—for example, what techno fans and young parents have in common, what it would sound like if Pavarotti met Fettes Brot, and why hold music has a similar potential to trigger aggression as plastic wrap.
Look forward to cracking puns like “a racing heart is just another term for chest hair,” understand why “Kaff” must come from Kafka, and learn that Goethe was more of a chill guy. Ta-da!
A highlight—and already a tradition—will once again be the “Living Jukebox”: Upon request, almost any song request will be sung and improvised, which usually leads to bursts of laughter and group sing-alongs.
As you can see, you can look forward to an unstoppably entertaining evening!
Press reviews:
“The multi-talented Redlich conquered the hearts of the audience with his powerful voice and had their laugh muscles working overtime. Redlich sets off a veritable fireworks display of gags. Musically brilliant, hilariously funny.”
