Laura Laabs »Adlergestell«

In the organizer's words:

Laura Laab's debut novel "Adlergestell" (2025) was written while she was looking for funding for her first major film "Rote Sterne überm Feld". However, it is not a by-product, but features a narrator who weaves Anna Seghers' apartment in Adlershof into the plot. The novel conveys a sense of the loss of horizons, not only of the mothers' generation, but also that of the children - this must be brought to consciousness, in the Seghersian tradition!

The event is part of the 2026 annual conference of the Anna Seghers Society Berlin and Mainz e.V. which will take place from June 5 to 6 at the Literaturforum im Brecht-Haus.
