This circular walk focuses on the urban climate impact of green spaces in Obergiesing and Harlaching. What significance do green spaces have for people, animals and the climate? At selected locations such as St.-Quirin-Platz, Weißenseepark and the slope edge ("Am hohen Weg"), you can experience how networked green spaces can reduce heat, promote biodiversity and create quality of life for a district.
It also illustrates how, in contrast, sealed surfaces have the opposite effect. Geographer Walter Kufeld will show you ecological connections and focus on the added value of networking green spaces. The tour will show you examples of climate adaptation strategies that are already working and where there is potential for your neighborhood.
This event by Green City e.V. takes place as part of the Munich Climate Autumn.
