Leipzig und die Musik: Wahre Freude ist eine ernste Sache (Stadtführung)
In the organizer's words:
This walking tour shows just how deeply music is rooted in Leipzig—in the cityscape, in the park, and in everyday life. It takes you to places where music is actively cultivated and to those that are now only a memory. We’ll encounter Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, who left a lasting mark on Leipzig’s musical life, learn about the traditions of the St. Thomas Choir, and discover places of learning and musical experience. The tour leads from the Music Quarter to the Bach Quarter, past impressive buildings to the new city harbor—whose basin, by the way, is shaped like a grand piano...
