Thomas Krüger has been President of the Federal Agency for Civic Education since July 2000. He has been President of the German Children's Fund since 1995. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Federal President's History Competition and a member of the Advisory Board for Continuing Education of the German Adult Education Association. From 1991 to 1994, he was Senator for Youth and Family in Berlin, then a member of the German Bundestag from 1994 to 1998.
Since 1994, Leipzig residents have had the opportunity to talk to public figures at the Leipzig Talks. Guests from politics, business and culture accept the invitation from the Leipzig Adult Education Center and Sparkasse Leipzig.
As usual, the moderator is Thomas Bille (journalist and presenter / mdr kultur).
