Les Musiciens du Louvre made their debut at the Bremen Music Festival in 1995, and in 2005 Marc Minkowski was awarded the Music Festival Prize. Over the past 30 years, the French original sound orchestra and its conductor have repeatedly set new standards, especially with their performances of works by Jacques Offenbach and Georges Bizet. Bizet, a master of orchestral sound, had a soft spot for southern sound coloration. Whether Andalusia, Provence, Egypt or Ceylon, his exotic melodies full of sophistication and sparkling ideas develop a tremendous pull!
