ZIEGEL, Hamburg's yearbook for literature, has been bringing together the city's best and most interesting authors for more than 30 years. The reading stage of the same name is just as diverse: popular local heroes have a home game at Strandhöft and present their ZIEGEL contributions in the summery HafenCity - and in 2026 it's all about music! The first record, the first concert, the first instrument, first visits to discos and concerts, dancing dresses: music is everywhere and often accompanies us in the most important moments of our lives. The green-glittering ZIEGEL and the matching reading stage are about precisely these events, which show what great magic can emanate from music. Three authors each remember or imagine, and the special guests bring along handmade live music!
The curious and those interested in literature are cordially invited to two guaranteed entertaining open-air readings in the evening harbor atmosphere - with music, Elb and Elphi views.
